Our client is on the lookout for a Remote Accounting Manager who is eager to become an integral part of their team. This firm specializes in offering comprehensive solutions for service-based small business owners, including strategic tax planning, tax preparation, bookkeeping, and business advisory services.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage client accounting assignments and projects from start to finish.
- Develop and implement best practices to streamline accounting processes and procedures.
- Build strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional training, consulting, and expertise.
- Supervise the preparation and filing of sales tax returns.
- Review and present quarterly deliverables to clients, including customized analysis, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting reports.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data to prepare financial reports and statements.
- Support and mentor staff to enhance their skills and ensure efficient and high-quality work.
- Delegate tasks and manage workflow to guarantee accurate and timely completion of client accounting work.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; Accounting or Finance major preferred.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally with a mix of public and private sector experience.
- Expertise in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.
- In-depth knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- Ability to meet deadlines and tackle problems effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent client service skills and the ability to build strong client relationships.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
Benefits:
- Work Hours: Flexibility to manage your time outside of core hours (10:00am - 4:00pm PST). Fridays are required, but you have flexibility in your schedule. Up to 50 hours during peak season, without excessive overtime.
- Location: Prefer candidates in PST and MT time zones; CST time zone candidates will also be considered.
