Insight Global is hiring for an Administrative Assistant to join a Business Improvement District located in Hampton, VA. The Administrative Assistant will assist the Board of Directors, Marketing, and Physical Improvements, and Security committees in achieving the client's initiatives. The Administrative Assistant will serve as a liaison to external constituents, District members, and staff to organize and streamline the client's efforts such as events, projects, and grant sponsorship applications. The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Committee & Board Communications
    • Maintain committee rosters
    • Print agenda, minutes, and sign-in sheet for each Board and Committee meeting
    • Set up Board room for meetings
    • Provide updates to the Communication Specialist for the following:
      • Calendar, agenda, minutes, additional notes and handouts
  • Maintain Grant & Sponsorship Requests
    • Ensure sponsorship and grant requests are entered into the system and reviewed accordingly
  • Promote and recruit for BID events
  • Handle administrative tasks for team members to ensure the project is running smoothly
  • Assist with answering telephone calls and greeting guests

 

This position will be a 6 month contract-to-hire with the chance to convert to a permeant employee. The hourly pay for this position is $21/hr.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience as a Program Coordinator or related
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, and Word)
  • Familiarity with the following programs: Canva, Zoom, Google Drive, Joomla, WordPress
  • Excellent communication skills, good phone etiquette

Nice to Have Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
