We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in the Wholesale Distribution industry, located in TULLY, New York, 13159-2450, United States. This role involves managing communication between the operations team and various stakeholders, creating reports, resolving operational customer complaints, and providing administrative support to the team.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate communication between operations teams and leadership, effectively relaying necessary information.
• Handle tasks related to store operations and ensure completion of any required follow-up processes.
• Generate reports to aid in management decision-making.
• Address and work towards the resolution of operational customer complaints promptly.
• Provide comprehensive administrative and office support to the operations team and other managerial staff.
• Assist in the procurement of store office supplies, uniforms, and equipment as needed.
• Maintain an organized filing system for the department, ensuring adherence to company guidelines for archiving and disposal.
• Proactively identify, investigate, and report any irregularities within the designated area of responsibility.
• Conduct training and cross-training initiatives within the area of responsibility.
• Serve as a backup assistant as needed to ensure coverage of necessary responsibilities.
• Engage cooperatively with internal personnel, external suppliers, and service companies to exchange information and maintain successful partnerships.
• Uphold the confidentiality and security of documents and data within the area of responsibility.
• Utilize skills in Data Entry, Administrative Office, MS Office, and Typing to effectively perform duties.• Minimum of 1 year experience in an Administrative Assistant role or similar
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience in administrative office duties such as filing, answering phones, and managing schedules
• Excellent typing skills with high level of speed and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent required, higher education or certifications in relevant field preferred
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Proven problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to tasks
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with wholesale distribution industry is a plus.
