Responsibilities

Drees Homes , one of the Nation's largest homebuilders is seeking a collaborative team player who is dedicated and passionate about residential design, drafting, and visualization for an immediate opportunity as an Architecture Specialist.

The Drees Architecture department serves a crucial role within the company. We work alongside division clients to design, draft and maintain innovative, beautiful, and market-responsive home designs. In this role, we are looking for a candidate who is passionate about residential architecture, the creative process of design, the artistic process of rendering, and the coordination of transforming those artistic elements into detailed technical drawings. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complete accurate construction drawings and details
  • Review proposed designs for compliance with applicable codes
  • Complete independent assignments with minimal supervision
  • Fluent in Design Principles for completion of assigned projects
  • Coordinate selections with standard plans to generate site-specific drawings ready for permit.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field
  • Master of Architecture, a plus
  • Residential architecture work or course work experience
  • Understanding of architectural drafting and standards, including plans, elevations, sections, and details utilizing CAD and Revit software.
  • Proficiency with design visualization tools and rendering software to create renderings and visuals to communicate designs to clients and project stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction method.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Demonstrated creative thinking to solve design problems
  • Positive attitude and self-motivated
  • Strong time management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Be prepared to present a portfolio during the interview process

This position will be working out of our Corporate Architecture Department, located in Ft. Mitchell, KY.
