Description:
We specialize in conducting business valuations for various purposes, including mergers and acquisitions, ownership succession, wealth transfers, gift and estate taxes, charitable contributions, and litigation support. The Business Valuation Manager is integral to this process, engaging with clients to define the assignment's purpose and scope, and employing diverse business valuation approaches. This role requires a deep understanding of the interplay between business valuation, financial reporting, and tax implications.
Oversee all valuation operations, ensuring timely completion and compliance with relevant standards
Interact with and build relationships with clients
Collaborate with firm professionals to gather client financial data for valuations
Expand knowledge in different areas of business valuation theory in order to better serve clients
Assist in the planning and determining the purpose of the business valuation
Conduct company research and industry analysis
Undertake comparable company and transaction analyses
Building DCF models and developing CAPMs and WACCs
Assessing and monitoring financial market databases
2-6 years of direct experience in business valuation
Proficiency in financial modeling
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with BV database tools
Knowledge of software packages (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership and personnel management skills
Education:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
CPA, ABV, CVA, and/or ASA certification is a plus
