General Information

• CNC Machinist
• Youngstown
• $25-$30/hour
• 1 st or 2 nd shift
• Direct Hire opportunity

As the CNC Machinist you will work with CNC machinery from setup to operation to produce parts and tools using Horizontal and Vertical Mills and Machining Centers.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Interpret router, drawings, blueprints, and other work instructions.
• Program review, including debugging and problem solving
• Load feed mechanism by using overhead crane and/or forklift
• Perform setup of CNC machine and perform 1 st article inspection.
• Verify settings by measures, marks, and scribe dimensions and reference points on first run part
• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines as necessary to machine parts as required.
• Calculate and set controls for feed, speed, depth, angle of cut
• Troubleshoot malfunctions or resolve issues as required
• Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications
• Operate multiple machines when practical and necessary

Skills/Qualifications

• 3 or more years' experience in CNC Setup
• Experience machining medium to heavy plate fabrications
• Editing programs using G&M codes
• Blueprint reading
• Previous overhead crane and forklift experience preferred
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Will be subject to other pre-employment screening.

Shifts

• 1 st shift Monday – Friday from 530am to 4pm and Saturday as needed
• 2 nd shift Monday – Friday from 4pm to 2am and Saturday as needed (10% shift premium)
• Training is on 1 st shift for 2 weeks
