Physical Security Senior Specialist - Manufacturing Operations

A leading manufacturer in the clean energy and advanced battery sector is seeking a Physical Security Senior Specialist to manage and enhance security operations at a high-tech manufacturing facility in the greater Savannah, Georgia area. This full-time, onsite position plays a key role in protecting personnel, infrastructure, and sensitive assets.

Position Summary:

The Physical Security Senior Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing security strategies, technologies, and procedures. The role requires a strong foundation in physical security controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance, particularly in complex industrial environments.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific physical security policies, SOPs, and emergency response protocols
• Manage and monitor access control, CCTV, and alarm systems
• Perform physical risk assessments and coordinate mitigation plans
• Conduct internal security audits and lead incident response investigations
• Liaise with local law enforcement, emergency responders, and regulatory bodies as needed
• Oversee security training programs and manage onsite security vendors
• Support external compliance audits and regulatory reviews
• Recommend and implement physical security system upgrades or enhancements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Management Information Systems, Criminal Justice, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in physical security within a manufacturing, corporate, or critical infrastructure environment
• Proficiency with physical security technologies, including access control systems, surveillance systems, and visitor management tools
• Strong understanding of security standards and frameworks, including ISO 27001 and best practices in risk management
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with external partners
• Flexibility to work non-standard hours and travel as operational needs require
• Bilingual fluency in Korean is preferred but not required
