Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and a keen eye for accuracy. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks, including payroll.

Duties

- Prepare and maintain accurate and timely financial records, including accounts receivable and payable, cash management, and payroll processing.
- Perform credit analysis to ensure that all transactions are properly authorized and documented.
- Conduct account analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies and errors.
- Manage and reconcile financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for cost savings and improvement.
- Provide support and assistance to other accounting team members as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all relevant accounting and financial regulations.
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and requirements.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software, including Ceridian.
- Experience with double-entry bookkeeping, accounts receivable, and credit analysis.
- Strong understanding of debits and credits and their application in financial statements.
- Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and timely financial records.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.

Must have experience working with the Department of Industrial Relations, Public Works, Certified Payroll and Prevailing Wages.

Part time / 16 hours / Weekly

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
