Job Description As a Distribution Associate, you will: Serve our customers by giving them exactly what they need when they need it. We aren't just offering a job, but inviting you to begin a career. Starting in this role you will learn our processes, products and industry which will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed at Summit.
Key Responsibilities - Will be delivering to mostly industrial locations
- Maintain a clean vehicle, daily driver logs and weekly vehicle inspection reports
- Pull customer tickets to fulfill orders.
- Load and unload Summit trucks
- Safely deliver products to customer locations.
- Provide exceptional service to all customers.
- Ability to use iPad to review orders and collect signatures
- Report all delivery issues and concerns
- Prepare orders for shipment to customers.
- Receive and stock products on a daily basis to replenish inventory.
- Understand products and their capabilities and warranties.
- Assist sales associates in fulfilling customer orders when necessary.
- Ensure warehouse and respective outside areas are neat and clean at all times.
- Maintaining safe practices and proactively upholds Summit's commitment to a safe workplace.
Qualifications Essential Qualifications and Experience - High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent driving record
- Need a valid TWIC card
- Need a valid Class D license
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid Driver's License
- Time management - strong ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written
- Flexibility - ability to effectively adapt to change
- Strong customer service orientation
Beneficial Skills and Experience - Previous warehouse or driver experience
- iPad or tablet experience
- Customer service experience
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
- Aptitude for learning
Physical Challenges - Ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to operate standard warehouse equipment
- Ability to operate commercial vehicles
Pre-employment assessments, drug, and background screens are administered. Professional appearance required.
