Selectek is partnering with a company located near Spartanburg, South Carolina to fill an Estimator role to assist with preparing and bidding custom machinery jobs for a manufacturing/fabrication company. Employment Type: Contract-to-Direct Expected Pay Range: $28 - $48 per hour, depending on certification and experience Location: Spartanburg, South Carolina Job Requirements: •   Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but significant relevant experience will be considered. •   Minimum 3+ years of experience in estimating custom-engineered machinery, fabrication, or industrial equipment. •   Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and machining techniques. •   Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and engineering documentation. •   Experience working with estimating software, ERP systems, and CRMs •   Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines. •   Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with sales, engineering, and production teams. In addition to these requirements, candidates must hold United States citizenship, per the client’s request. Job Details: •   Develop detailed cost estimates for custom-engineered machinery and fabricated equipment based on customer specifications and internal guidelines. •   Collaborate with sales engineers and design teams to evaluate project feasibility, material requirements, labor costs, and production timelines. •   Analyze drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure accurate quoting. •   Work with suppliers and internal procurement teams to obtain pricing for components, materials, and outsourced services. •   Maintain and update cost databases, estimating templates, and pricing structures. •   Assist in preparing formal proposals and quotations for customers, ensuring clarity and completeness. •   Support sales and project management teams with cost-related insights and risk assessments. •   Utilize CRM software to document and track estimates, proposals, and customer interactions. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00a-5:00p expected.
