Job Description

Salary: $80,000 - 100,000/year

This position allows for 3 days per week remote / work from home.

We are seeking a highly skilled Paralegal with specialized experience in handling foreign patent applications and related IP documentation. The ideal candidate will assist our attorneys in all phases of patent prosecution, from initial filing to issuance, focusing on international patent matters and coordinating global patent filings.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support attorneys in drafting, filing, and prosecuting foreign patent applications.
• Coordinate international patent filings, including PCT applications and national phase entries.
• Conduct preliminary patent searches and analyze patent portfolios.
• Prepare and file patent documents with foreign patent offices.
• Assist in drafting responses to office actions and correspondence with foreign associates.
• Maintain and update patent dockets and manage deadlines for global patent filings.
• Collaborate with clients, foreign associates, and internal teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely execution of patent matters.
• Assist in legal research and preparation of IP-related documents, including patentability and infringement opinions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in paralegal studies or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm setting, with specific expertise in foreign patent applications.
• Proficiency in patent docketing systems and legal research tools.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
