Job Description

Our client in Bronx, NY is seeking a full-time physician assistant to join their growing orthopedic surgery team! Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of orthopedic experience, or experience working in another relevant surgical subspecialty (general, neurosurgery or trauma surgery). Physician is also willing to train a recent graduate with a strong desire to work in orthopedic surgery.

*Responsibilities:*
* *Full-time position. 3 12-hour day shifts.*
* Perform first-assist duties in the OR
* Rounding on hospital inpatients
* Patient histories, physical examinations, patient workups
* Management of post-operative patients

*Qualifications:*
* Previous experience as a PA in orthopedic surgery
* Previous experience as a PA in another surgical field
* New graduate with ties to the area and applicable rotations
* Active New York Physician Assistant License, or ability to obtain
* DEA License
