Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking for a Shop Helper for our client located in Salem, Oregon who specializes in metal fabrication and machining services.
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Shop Helper with experience in metalworking and shop operations. The ideal candidate will assist in operating various machinery, including shears, plasma tables, and press brakes, to support our production needs. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of the projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the operation of shop machinery such as shears, plasma tables, and press brakes.
Support the setup and maintenance of equipment to ensure smooth operation.
Handle materials and tools with care, following all safety protocols.
Help perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery as needed.
Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and meet production deadlines.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to company safety and cleanliness standards.
Assist with other shop duties as required to support the production team.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a metalworking or fabrication shop is preferred.
Familiarity with operating shears, plasma tables, press brakes, and other metalworking machinery.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Benefits:

7:00am - 3:30pm
